11.3 Logging in

Logging in to a Business Collaborator server is very simple. To get to the log in page, you will often click on a link which says "log in" on your server's home page. You would also be taken to the log in page if you attempted to enter Business Collaborator via a link to a particular document or folder (a web browser favorite or a web link emailed to you by a colleague, for example). The log in page will look like the one shown in Figure 11.3-1.

If you do not complete typing in your username and password in a reasonable time (usually 1 minute), you will be asked to enter them again. This is a security measure to maintain the integrity of your username and password.

If you have difficulty in logging in to the server - for instance, if you are repeatedly returned to the log in page - remember to check that your browser is set up correctly - see section 11.2.

Note

The first time you log in to Business Collaborator will be slightly different from subsequent occasions. The additional steps allow you to enter contact and preference information.
