12.4.1 Application of global notification
In order to keep track of what is taking place in all of your workspaces, you can set delayed notification on your home page. Every event of the types you choose will then cause a notification email to be sent to you.
Clearly, this functionality should be used carefully otherwise you will be inundated with email messages. Such a report on activity within your workspaces is probably appropriate on a daily or even weekly basis.
-
Note
-
Global notification made the former workspace report functionality obsolete (see section 5.7.4.1). Workspace reports were daily reports of activity in all your workspaces. They were considerably less configurable than delayed notification in that the same event information and frequency of report applied across all your workspaces.
12.4.2 Setting global notification
Global delayed notification can be set from your home page - by clicking View/Change | Notification - and setting delayed notification as described in section 12.2.1.
Remember that, as a result of setting global (delayed) notification, you will receive email messages detailing every event of the type you have chosen, anywhere in the workspaces and folders you have access to.
Global delayed notification can be checked, edited and removed as described in section 12.2.
-
Note
-
It is recommended that you make use of global delayed notification rather than workspace reports to obtain daily reports of what has been happening in your workspaces. Delayed notification is more flexible and can easily be reviewed and edited in association with all the other notification you have set, via your Personal Notification settings.
