14.1 Introduction

Section 5.5 described how to carry out a search for a particular object within Business Collaborator. This included how to set up a complex query, based on criteria such as who created a document and when, the type of a document, who had read it etc.

This section focuses on how such queries may be saved and used again. Such reusable search queries can be made available to the user who initially created the query, to a group of workspace members or to every registered user of the Business Collaborator server.

Queries can be saved in Business Collaborator as objects in their own right. Like documents, folders and other Business Collaborator objects, they have their own attributes - such as a name and description. Actions carried out on them are recorded as events, indicated by event icons in the usual manner.
